Dell Server Recovery
Crashed Dell Server or RAID?
We’re Server Recovery specialists
If your Dell server has crashed, a hard drive has failed, the RAID has crashed, or a RAID rebuild has failed, or you simply cannot boot the server because of file system corruption, we offer Dell Server recovery for all Dell servers, including Blade Servers, Poweredge Servers and Poweredge Rack servers.
If you’ve already tried to recover the server using standard procedures, and everything has failed, it’s important to remember that repeatedly attempting recovery with multiple server reboots, RAID rebuild, drive swaps and any other method could all cause further damage, and even complete loss of data. Before any further repair attempts are made, it’s crucial that all your hard drives are securely cloned and backed up.
We offer Dell Server RAID recovery from any operating system and file system. Your RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 or any other RAID level could have crashed; we have leading RAID data recovery skills and have developed our own RAID Recovery system that enables us to recover lost data from any form of storage.
Emergency Dell Server Recovery If the data from your failed Dell server is stored on a RAID array, we can often complete a full server recovery within 12 hours.
Once we receive your Server or storage device, we’ll start by making a clone of each individual hard disk. This is our (and your) insurance policy against another drive failing, and against further data loss or corruption. We will let you know what is happening at every stage of the recovery. We will work to get your server (and you) back online. Immediately. With zero fuss.
Why Retrodata? • Can you recover my data? • Emergency Recovery • Why RAID fails

- Hard drive failure – or multiple drive failure
- RAID controller failure
- RAID rebuild failure
- Firmware update failure or firmware corrupted data
- Power surge or power spike
- IT Admin or user error (the leading cause of permanent data loss)
- Incorrect drive substituted for the RAID rebuild process
- RAID array initialisation

Dell Server RAID recovery: PERC controllers
Dell use a proprietary RAID controller known as PERC (PowerEdge Expandable RAID controller) and many Dell Servers we receive for recovery have failed due to a firmware update that has resulted in the array being reinitialised or the RAID parameters being corrupted. These controllers include the Dell PERC 3, PERC 3/DI, PERC 4 and PERC 4e.
- We recover failed Dell Server RAID
- Quickest recovery time available for logical RAID failures
- We do not charge for diagnosis
