NetApp Data Recovery
If your NetApp appliance has failed and has so far resisted standard recovery procedures, you probably realise you may need expert help. Due to the complexity of these systems, the way they integrate with other servers, and the sheer scale of configuration parameters, NetApp data recovery is outside the remit of most data recovery companies.
Our engineers are able to recover data from the smallest RAID 0 consisting of two hard drives, to large SAN and Xsan storage comprising dozens of drives, configured with multiple RAID levels. We work at a level below the operating system, and below any virtualisation layers. We work with and recover data from any file system, and from any RAID level, including proprietary and nested RAIDs.
If you are currently experiencing system downtime that is inhibiting the normal operation of your business, please contact us. We will move swiftly to restore your data and return you to full operation as quickly as possible. We have quite possibly the most advanced RAID recovery abilities and techniques available anywhere, and our rigorous data protection policies ensure that your data is secured against further loss, or against total loss, from the minute we take delivery. Only on exceptionally rare occasions (and where the client has so insisted) do we perform the recovery process using the original drives; we make backup clones of each individual disk, and work from the copies.
Emergency RAID Recovery Although we offer emergency RAID recovery, for a top-end storage system it can take time to establish the precise makeup of the device or array we are tasked to recover. We have to detect all file system and RAID parameters. We need to know how the particular appliance reacts to a failed drive, and how it allocates hot standby disks and global spares. This all takes hours – during which time a standard RAID recovery would have been completed.
