When we receive your ReadyNAS, we first make secure copies of each individual drive in the device. This means that if something goes wrong during the recovery, or another drive fails, we will have backup copies. It’s an insurance policy that costs nothing, but can be precious.
We’ll then start the recovery. If you have data that you need urgently, we will concentrate on that first, and aim to start returning that to you during the recovery process. We’ll also keep you updated the whole time, so you will have an idea when you will receive all your data. We’ll get you up and running; in no time at all.

- Netgear RAID hard disk has failed (warning LED orange or amber) causing a RAID crash.

Known issues with Netgear ReadyNAS Devices
As with almost all NAS devices, ensure you have your data securely backed up to another storage medium before updating the firmware.
